Ozkan, Sevim Dogan

Sevim is a photographer originally from Turkey with a Kurdish ethnicity.

She has travelled the world extensively to absorb and experience the flavour of different cultures. She lived and worked in London until she met her husband, a graphic designer, before they’ve decided to settle in Australia twelve years ago.

Nowadays a well settled, well established artist in Melbourne, her current project is titled Migrant Mothers of Australia involving migrant women from different backgrounds over eighty years old.

Sevim says “Thus far, this has been the most rewarding project of my photographic career”.
