‘No pacts with fascists’: Germans hit the streets to condemn far-right political deal

Several thousand people have rallied in eastern Germany to protest the ousting of a popular state premier as part of a deal struck between the far-right and centrists.

Thousands of anti-fascist protesters took to the streets in Erfurt, capital of Thuringia state in Germany’s former communist east on Saturday, after far-right politicians last week helped install a new state premier.
