Mass rallies demand civilian rule in Sudan

Large crowds took to the streets across Sudan to protest the country's military leaders and demand democratic rule. A senior general reported "snipers shooting at people," including paramilitary troops.

A military leader in Sudan said snipers were firing at civilians and troops during the nation-wide protest against military rule on Sunday.
