Cyprus does not need another speech about patience. Cyprus needs liberation.

Just last week, around 15 Turkish tanks were directed toward Pyla — rehearsing the occupation of more land belonging to the Republic of Cyprus.

Just last week, convicted Turkish property usurper Simon Aykut was transferred to Israel by the current government — even as his company continues its activities in the occupied areas.

Just last week, in Antalya, Erdoğan and his puppet Erhürman stood in open coordination — once again attacking the sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus and threatening the people of Cyprus.

We know what the occupiers want. They continue the colonisation, preparing for full occupation, and they do not hide their aims. But today, their greatest weapon is not the tank or the settler — it is the political elite and the rhetoric dominating politics in the free areas.

They talk about corruption — without mentioning that legislative, judicial, and administrative powers remain unseparated to this day, a legacy of the colonial order imposed upon us.

They talk about the destruction of our demographic structure — without mentioning Turkey’s settler colonisation in the occupied areas, or the weaponisation of human trafficking directed at the free areas.

They talk about diplomacy — while their own diplomacy paves the way for occupier Turkey in Europe, as happened with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and while Turkey blocks Cyprus even from a simple UN climate meeting, as happened just last week.

They talk about youth — while it is their own corruption and complicity that empties this island of its young, sending them away from the homeland their grandparents fought to hold.

They talk about the forcefully displaced Cypriots — while awarding usurpers and facilitating the colonisation of the occupied areas.

We have a parliament today where two major political parties bear direct responsibility for bringing Cyprus to its current situation. The remaining parties, with the exception of the Ecologist Movement – Citizens Cooperation, are either officially part of a government that has deepened that same situation, or supporting it through hidden deals.

They all share something else in common: they are all troubled when we speak and act for Cyprus’s freedom and rule of law, and when we expose them. We will continue to shout: TaSinora Mas Ine Stin Kerinya. We will continue to trouble them — and those they serve.

Because we know that history is full of peoples and civilisations that have disappeared. We will not allow this to happen in our homeland. Our children will stand on their own soil, in a Cyprus that is liberated, free, and dignified.

There is one solution. There has always been one solution. And that is Liberation.
