The ‘Voices’ that already exist: Aboriginal executives explain how First Nations advisory works

Every day at work, Noongar elder Robyn Collard is asked to weigh in on issues concerning Indigenous Australians.

She’s an executive at Wanslea — a non-government organisation that provides support to children and young people.

Amid concerns there’s a lack of clarity about how the proposed Voice to Parliament would work, Ms Collard believes there’s a simple solution.

In fact, she says her own job is a comparable, small-scale example of the Voice at work.
