Marcos wants reforms vs ‘rampant’ smuggling

PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ordered major reforms in the bureaucracy to curb “rampant” smuggling because “the systems that are in place do not work,” Malacanang said on Saturday.

At the same time, Marcos wants to lower logistics costs and ensure ease of doing business as his administration works to prop up investments and business activity in the country, Presidential Communications Secretary Chelo Garafil said.
