‘Unite or die’: Sunak’s warning to Tories after winning vote to be UK’s next prime minister
London: Rishi Sunak has been named the Conservative Party’s new leader unopposed and will become the UK’s first prime minister of Asian descent.
On Monday (UK time), he told MPs the party must “unite or die” following the unprecedented upheavals in UK politics that have seen three prime ministers in as many months.
