Judges’ associates ‘uniquely at risk’ of sexual harassment

The Victorian Supreme Court needs to make judges undertake sexual harassment training and offer ongoing roles to experienced hires to prevent associates being mistreated, a review has found.

Associates – typically young legal guns working as a judge’s right-hand person – “represent a particularly, even uniquely, at-risk occupational cohort” when it comes to sexual harassment, the review said.
