UN calls for $7 billion in aid for Afghanistan as ‘full-blown humanitarian catastrophe looms’

The money will go to 160 NGOs plus UN agencies delivering aid, and some will be used to pay frontline workers such as healthcare staff - but not via the Taliban administration.
