Hidden political donations hit record high
Federal political parties received $50 million in unexplained cash last year in another sign of the trend towards secretive donations.
The “hidden money” – revealed in new analysis that calls for tougher disclosure laws so voters can know the source of the funds – is more than three times the size of the donations claimed during the last financial year.
