Years after a deadly massacre, these Yazidi survivors are finally burying their loved ones

The bodies of 103 men and boys killed in 2014 were recovered from a mass grave and returned to a shattered community that still fears for its future.

They had waited years to bury the remains of their husbands, sons and brothers. Cradling fresh earth draped in Iraqi flags, the Yazidi women called out as if their loved ones could still hear them.
