UN ‘deeply concerned’ about this week’s arrests of 53 dissidents in Hong Kong

The UN has joined international leaders' widespread condemnation of Wednesday's mass arrests in Hong Kong under China's new national security law.

The United Nations has voiced alarm at the arrest of 53 prominent figures in Hong Kong on charges of “subversion”, in comments Beijing said “interfered in China’s sovereignty”.
