ANZ to pay $10 million fine over ‘unconscionable’ periodic payment fees

ANZ Bank has been ordered to pay $10 million in penalties by the Federal Court of Australia over "unconscionable conduct" around periodic payment fees.

The court found between August 2003 and September 2015, ANZ charged fees to personal and business customers over periodic or scheduled payments.
