China orders US to shut consulate in city of Chengdu
China has ordered the United States to close its consulate in the western city of Chengdu, in an increasingly rancorous diplomatic conflict.
China’s foreign ministry said it has told the US embassy to close its consulate in the southwestern city of Chengdu, days after the US abruptly ordered the closure of the Chinese consulate in Houston.
