French bus driver dies after ‘barbaric’ attack by passengers over face masks rule
The widow of a French bus driver who was beaten to death after he asked four passengers to wear face masks aboard his vehicle has called for "exemplary punishment" for her husband's killers.
Philippe Monguillot, 58, died on Friday — five days after being viciously beaten when he confronted a group of passengers who were not complying with a rule that requires face masks on public transportation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
