Coronavirus update: Spain imposes second local lockdown in areas with flare ups, US numbers down but not a sign of improvement

Spain has locked down another area after an outbreak of coronavirus was detected, putting 70,000 more people under restrictions until at least next weekend.

In the US, new case numbers have dropped under 50,000 for the first time in four days but there are fears of surges in infections coming from Independence Day celebrations.
