‘We don’t have a king’: Trump, governors in epic power struggle

Just as the US appears to be flattening its coronavirus curve, the country has entered a divisive and disturbing new stage in which President Donald Trump and leading governors clash over who is in charge of reopening the country's economy.

In a fiery briefing at the White House on Monday (Tuesday AEST) Trump made the stunning claim that it was up to him alone to decide when the country returns to normality.
