The Police Association, community legal groups and Liberty Victoria are calling for coronavirus restrictions to be more clearly defined to ensure consistent enforcement of the lockdown.
The secretary of the Police Association, Wayne Gatt, doesn’t think police are being “overzealous”, but says officers are in a “difficult position”.
“Some of the new rules and regulations that have been issued are somewhat ambiguous,” Mr Gatt told Ali Moore.
