Partisan views on everything have ruined the ability to have a serious conversation

I am so over having a conversation.

Whether the issue is serious or trivial, complex or simple, long or short-term, the option of choice is to ‘have a conversation’.

But so much of the time, the talk is glib, uncivil, belligerent, misleading, dominated by privileged voices who decide what is said, how and by whom.
