Amal Clooney warns Australia on press freedoms, comparing it to North Korea

High-profile human rights lawyer Amal Clooney has warned Australia is failing to protect press freedom – and that recent police raids on journalists might inspire clampdowns in more oppressive countries.

Speaking at the Global Conference for Media Freedom in London, Mrs Clooney warned the June raids by the Australian Federal Police could be used as a blueprint by other nations to suppress press freedoms.
