For one hour Chief Judge Peter Kidd delivered his sentencing and the reasons behind it.

Courtroom 3.3 of the Victorian County Court went quiet.

Pell stood calmly, with his arms behind his back.

The sentence was six years with a non-parole period of three years and eight months. Immediately, the storm started up again.
