Uniting Church Reverend avoids jail despite molesting young parishioner
A retired Uniting Church minister has avoided jail time despite pleading guilty to molesting a boy in his parish more than 50 years ago in south-east Queensland.
Reverend Barry Dangerfield, 83, today pleaded guilty to five counts of indecently treating a boy under the age of 14, and six counts of the historical offence of indecent treatment between males.
