Spencer Zifcak

Spencer Zifcak - PhotoSpencer Zifcak is Allan Myers Professor of Law at the Australian Catholic University.

He was awarded his PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

His principal areas of research are in International Human Rights Law, Comparative Constitutional Law and International Organisations.

Spencer has been Visiting Professor at the UNESCO Centre for Human Rights Education at Comenius University, Bratislava; Wolfson College, University of Oxford; Trinity College, Dublin; New York University, New York; and in 2011 he was awarded the Benjamin Meaker Visiting Professorship at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the University of Bristol.

Spencer combines his academic work with active professional involvements.

He was for three years President of Liberty, Australia’s leading civil liberties advocacy organisation and is a Director of the Australia Institute, one of Australia’s leading public policy research institutes.
