Dimitris Konstantakopoulos

Dimitris Konstantakopoulos - PhotoJournalist and writer.

He studied Physics in Greece and Information Processing in France.

He has worked as an advisor in the office of Greek PM Andreas Papandreou (1985-88) on East-West relations and Arms Control.

He was the chief correspondent of Athens News Agency in Moscow (1989-99) and then he has worked as journalist and editor in Athens.

He is a member of the editorial board of the international review for self-management Utopie Critique.

He has been the Secretary of the Movement of Independent Citizens, created at the initiative of Mikis Theodorakis (2011-2012), a member of the Central Committee and non-voting member of the Secretariat of SYRIZA (2012-13). He left this party in July 2015.

He is the writer of thousands of articles and papers published in various countries.

He is also the writer of three books on relations between CPSU and the Greek CP, the Cyprus conflict, US policy in Eastern Mediterranean and the relationship between the Left and the notion of the Nation.

He is the coordinator of the Delphi International Initiative for the Defense of Democracy.
